AFTER A SUCCESSFUL NEUROSURGICAL OPERATION, THE YOUNG MAN REGAINED HIS HEALTH.
In 2011, in a foreign country, when the patient was 19 years old, despite the fact that the upper mass of the 2 located in the spinal canal was removed, the lower mass remained untouched.
Seven years later - in 2018, during the MRI examination of a patient who complained about severe pain in the lumbus, disorders such as walking delays and pelvic organs, re-development of the mass located higher, and a multiple increase in the lower mass was revealed. Due to a serious increase of pain when lying down, the patient had to sleep sitting up.
The brain cone (the terminal part of the spinal cord from which the nerves leading to the lower limbs and pelvic organs come out) is a sensitive part of the spinal cord, and operations in this area are risky, and repeated operations are even more dangerous.
The mass, located on top and enveloped the cone and nerves coming out of it, was removed as a result of a seven-hour operation carried out by a neurosurgeon of the Republican Medical Diagnostic center (RTDC) Azer Akberov. And four months later, the lower formation was removed. Pathological myxopapillary ependymoma has been reported. After the surgery, no defects were observed and the patient's complaints were completely gone.
